The Caldwell County Health Department is encouraging local residents to get their flu shot during a flu clinic next week.
Amanda Hunter, Senior Support Service Associate, says the flu clinic will be held Tuesday, October 13th from 7AM until 1PM at the health department, which is located at 600 South Jefferson Street in Princeton. She adds flu shots will be administered via drive-thru services and is instructing those interested in getting their flu shot to enter the parking lot from the South Jefferson Street entrance, the entrance on Hospital Drive will be an exit only.
Hunter states the health department accepts most insurances but notes for self-pay individuals the cost of the flu shot for those over 65 years of age is $50 and is $30 for those under age 65. Shots for all uninsured children will be $19.
Free coronavirus testing will also be administered during the flu clinic.
