Princeton Halloween Scavenger Hunt; Can You Find Frankenstein?

Frankenstein, famously afraid of fire, has stolen a Princeton Fire Truck and the city needs the help of trick-or-treaters young and old this Halloween to find the fire truck and get lots of candy in the process.

Mayor Kota Young says there will be a city-wide trick-or-treat scavenger hunt Saturday, October 31st from 3 until 6PM in which families can grab a map left at the scene by the infamous thief, travel to businesses throughout town, solve the riddles, gather candy, and catch Frankenstein green-handed for a chance to win over $300 in cash and prizes, courtesy of the Princeton Rotary and Optimist Clubs. He adds only trick-or-treaters who have correctly filled out their clue sheet will be eligible to be entered in the drawing.
Mayor Young notes the Princeton Rotary Club is also sponsoring a photo booth at Planters Pavilion beside City Hall during the scavenger hunt that will include several fun and spooky Halloween themed backgrounds.
Those businesses and organizations interested in participating are being asked to contact Mayor Young, who will then indicate the business on the map, which will be released closer to Halloween. Businesses or organizations who do not have a brick and mortar location but would still like to participate are also welcome to contact Mayor Young, who says they will be set up in one of the parks throughout town.
Mayor Young also notes the City will not interfere with traditional door-to-door trick-or-treating as it is a private decision and not within the remit of the City’s authority, however, he is asking all who may participate in traditional trick-or-treating to use common sense and be aware of guidance released by healthcare professionals.
More information about the Halloween Scavenger Hunt will be released soon, including Frankenstein’s map and clue sheet.
If you have a business or organization that would like to participate you can contact Mayor Kota Young at 270-365-9575.
