Princeton Man Facing DUI After Wrecking Motorized Bicycle

A Princeton man is facing DUI charges following a motorized bicycle accident Thursday morning.
Assistant Princeton Police Chief Shane Allison says officers responded to the 300 block of Stone Street around 9:47 for a complaint of an intoxicated male that had wrecked a motorized bicycle. He adds officers were able to make contact with 26-year-old Austin J. Beshear at the Caldwell Medical Center Emergency Room, where he had been transported for non-life threatening injuries.
Assistant Chief Allison notes investigation revealed Beshear was allegedly under the influence of intoxicants and he was taken into custody and charged with operating a non-motor vehicle under the influence of intoxicants.
Beshear was then lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
