The Caldwell County School System will soon have a health clinic available to staff and students thanks to the Caldwell Medical Center.
At a Board of Education meeting Monday night Interim Superintendent Heath Cartwright explained the Caldwell Medical Center approached the school system about a school health clinic several years ago and has recently re-ignited their interest in providing the service.
He added the health clinic would be available every day students are in class.
Cartwright noted parents or guardians would have to sign off on medical treatment through the health clinic.
Following motion and a second the board unanimously approved the contract between the school system and Caldwell Medical Center.
A start date for the school health clinic has not yet been determined.
