Shirley Jean Cherry, 83, of Princeton, formerly of Lyon County

Graveside memorial services for Shirley Jean Cherry, age 83, of Princeton, formerly of Lyon County, will be held Thursday afternoon at two at the Asher Cemetery in the Flatrock community in Caldwell County.
Shirley was a member and former agent for the Woodmen of the World, a charter member of Lyon County Athletic and Recreation Inc., a member of H.A.W.K. (Help Alert Western Kentucky Inc.), Concerned Citizens of Lyon County Inc., Lyon County P.T.O. a Kentucky Colonel, former Coach of the Boys Baseball & Girls Softball Teams, Commissioner of Babe Ruth Baseball and was a member of the Lyon County Band Boosters.
Survivors include one son: Jamie Cherry and wife, Angie, of Brandenburg, KY; one daughter: Lona Harrell and husband, Allen, of Benton; one brother: Alfred Harper and wife, Justine, of Fredonia; seven grandchildren: Brad Whittington of Paducah, Brian Whittington of Kuttawa, Landon McLeod and wife, Kayla, of Eddyville, Bailey Myers and husband, Cody, of Benton, Amanda Wiseman and husband, Colby, of Benton, April Cherry of Richmond, and Zach Cherry of Sumter, SC; seven great grandchildren; one great great grandchild.
Dunn’s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
