Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office Announces Property Tax Payment Schedule

Officials with the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office are reminding residents of upcoming tax payment deadlines and discount schedules.
Melissa Dockery, Sheriff’s Office Bookkeeper, says things are a bit different this year as the Sheriff’s Office is now collecting Princeton City taxes.

She adds the tax bills will not be mailed out until October 30th because the Sheriff’s Office can not legally accept tax payments until November 1st and explains there are discounts for those who pay early.

Dockery states the Sheriff’s Office will have extended hours beginning November 5th for those wanting to pay their taxes.

She notes those who do not wish to come to the office to pay their taxes can mail them, but there are specific guidelines for doing so.

Dockery is also excited to announce another new feature this year, residents can now access their tax bills online.

Currently the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office can not accept debit or credit card transactions for tax payments but officials are working to provide that service soon.
