Princeton Man Facing Charges Following ATV Accident

A Princeton man was arrested on wanton endangerment and fleeing and evading charges following an ATV accident in Caldwell County Wednesday evening.
Caldwell County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Chris Noel states around 5:14 a deputy observed a side by side ATV occupied by two male subjects traveling along Sandlick Road and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. He adds the operator allegedly accelerated the ATV, turning onto East Bald Knob Road, but was unable to negotiate a curve causing him to lose control and overturn.
Upon speaking with both the driver and the passenger and conducting further investigation the driver, 33-year-old Andrew Carrera, was arrested and charged with all terrain vehicle violation, first degree fleeing or evading police – motor vehicle, and first degree wanton endangerment.
Chief Deputy Noel notes the passenger, who’s name has not been released, was transported to Caldwell Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.
Carrera was then lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
