Law Enforcement Looking for Identity of Suspect in 2019 Cold Case

Local law enforcement are asking for the public’s help to identify a potential suspect in a cold case from last year.
Lyon County Sheriff Brent White says on August 9, 2019 deputies with his office responded to an armed robbery complaint at the Dollar General Store on KY 293 in Lyon County. He adds investigation revealed around 9:15PM that night an unidentified white male entered the store and appeared to be a normal customer until getting to the register where he allegedly displayed a knife to the clerk, came over the counter, and stole money from the register before fleeing the scene on foot.
Sheriff White notes a photo of the suspect has been taken from security footage and believes the suspect is a local resident, not someone who exited the interstate.

Anyone with information, or anyone who recognizes the suspect, are being asked to contact the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office at 270-388-2311.
