Protect Your Investment and Properly Store Pesticides Over the Winter

Agents at the Caldwell County Extension Office have released several tips to help people protect their investments by learning to store their pesticides properly during the winter.
Shane Bogle, Agent for Agriculture and Natural Resources, says fall is the perfect time to begin thinking about properly prepping all pesticides for winter storage.

He adds the number one tip is to keep pesticides in their original containers.

Bogle states another great tip to properly store pesticides is keeping a current inventory of what pesticides you own.

He notes it’s also extremely important to segregate pesticides to keep potentially dangerous accidents from happening.

Bogle adds the final tip is to know how to properly dispose of unused or unneeded materials.
