Kentucky set a record last week for most COVID-19 cases in a week since the pandemic began with 9,335, according to Governor Andy Beshear.
The previous high in a single week was 7,675 in October.
Sunday boasts the highest number of cases reported on a Sunday at 1,462.
Governor Beshear said on Monday he will be announcing new recommendations for red zone counties.
