Kentucky COVID-19 Cases Continue Exponential Climb

Kentucky again broke another record for a single-day total of COVID-19 cases Friday.
The state confirmed 3,825 new cases and 20 deaths on the day Governor Andy Beshear’s new restrictions go into effect. Currently, the positivity rate is 9.15-percent, and 1,544 people who have tested positive for the virus are hospitalized. Additionally, 366 are in the ICU, and 188 are on the ventilator.
Beshear said the cases are growing at an exponential rate and is shattering records over and over again. He added over 10,000 students across the Commonwealth are quarantined due to possible exposure to the virus.
