A family of five was displaced after a dryer caught fire at a Hillview Court apartment in Princeton Friday morning.
Assistant Fire Chief Tim Cook tells the News Edge fourteen firemen responded to 409 Hillview Court shortly before 11:45 a.m. with a fire engine, aerial and pumper trucks. When they arrived on the scene firefighters found heavy smoke coming from the rear of the apartment. Cook says the fire was contained to the laundry room area with smoke damage to the rest of the apartment.
According to Cook, there were no injuries.
He says the housing authority is helping to place the two adults and three children who lived in the apartment at another location.
