COVID vaccinations for those aged 70 or older will begin Wednesday at the Caldwell County Health Department.
According to Princeton Mayor Kota Young, the health department, located at 600 South Jefferson Street, will be giving the vaccination from 9 am through 4 pm on a first-come, first-served basis. No appointment is necessary.
In the post shared by the mayor, to ensure an orderly flow of traffic, those wishing to be vaccinated must use Country Lane, which is the first road to the right past the health department leaving town. The line will continue along Manor Drive, down Hospital Drive, and into the parking lot of the health department.
Officials say do not arrive prior to 8:15 am Wednesday morning.
In addition, you will not be able to access the health department from South Harrison Street or from its entrance on South Jefferson Street. Hospital Drive will be closed to traffic from South Jefferson Street as well.
Mayor Young says city and county employees will be on-site to help direct traffic.
Once you enter the parking lot of the health department, on-site staff will be present to provide further instructions. Officials ask for you to please stay in your vehicle until directed otherwise.
All traffic will exit the health department on to South Jefferson Street.
If you are unable to be vaccinated Wednesday, the mayor says vaccines will be available at the health department again on the following dates: Thursday, January 7th, and Monday, January 11th through Thursday, January 14th from 9 am until 4 pm on those days.
