Caldwell County Health Department Out of COVID Vaccinations Early Wednesday

Due to a large turnout of those 70 and older wanting to receive the Moderna COVID-19 vaccination, the Caldwell County Health Department ran out of the vaccine shortly after opening Wednesday morning.
As of 10:00, Caldwell County Emergency Manager Joey McCaslin tells the News Edge anyone wanting a COVID vaccination who was not already in line didn’t need to come to the health department because they were out of the vaccine.
Officials with the Pennyrile District Health Department report the vaccine clinics in Caldwell, Crittenden, and Lyon counties are full for Wednesday. In addition, they say the COVID vaccine clinics scheduled for Thursday are canceled in these counties.
According to officials, they will announce through media and Facebook when the health department receives more of the vaccine from the state.
