Internet Speed Test To Be Conducted In The Region

A new internet speed test will be available soon across the state which officials hope will be the first step in solving the lack of internet accessibility in Caldwell, Crittenden, Livingston, and Lyon counties.
Lake Barkley Partnership for Economic Development Executive Director Amanda Davenport says one of the big issues in providing internet service in these counties is the cost to put in internet infrastructure, especially fiber internet the most reliable high-speed service you can get. She adds the other problem is the FCC map is incorrect because the information is coming from the internet provider.

According to Davenport, the internet speed test will be coming in the next couple of weeks and it only takes a minute to complete. Davenport says she will announce to the public when the testing is available.
