Kentucky Positivity Rate Continues Downward Trend

Kentucky reported 3,433 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday, while the positivity rate stayed below 12-percent for the fifth day in a row.
Governor Andy Beshear announced 49 new COVID-linked deaths, including two males from Christian County aged 86 and 89. There are currently 1,678 Kentuckians hospitalized with COVID-19, 399 in the ICU, and 205 on the ventilator.
The state’s positivity rate is now 11.3-percent, down from 11.5 Tuesday.
Wednesday, Governor Beshear was named a co-chair of the new Economic Recovery and Revitalization task force alongside Republican Governor Henry McMaster of South Carolina. The National Governor’s Association announced the task force and said they would tackle infrastructure, taxes, energy, and environmental issues.
