Two Caldwell Deputies Recognized With Life-Saving Awards

Two deputies with the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department were recognized last week at the Kentucky Sheriff’s Conference for their life-saving actions last summer.
Chief Deputy Sheriff Chris Noel says he and Sheriff Stan Hudson attended the conference, which is an annual training held for continuing education hours for the Kentucky deputies and sheriffs to complete their required hours. At the completion of the training, he says the conference has an awards banquet that honors deputies within the state who have exhibited outstanding examples of bravery, unselfishness, and willingness to put other’s safety above their own.
At the conference, Deputy Noel says Deputies Jason Kirk and Steve Ladd were presented the Kentucky Sheriff’s Association Life-Saving Award for their actions when they responded to a call for a welfare check last summer and their fast actions gave a resident a second chance at life.
According to Deputy Noel, both deputies are a great asset to the department and they are proud of them.
