Governor Beshear Says State Prepared For Wintry Weather

The State of Emergency that Governor Andy Beshear issued last week remains in effect this week, as we are expected to get two rounds on wintry precipitation.
Governor Beshear is asking residents to limit travel as much as possible Monday and Tuesday.

Although power outages are not expected across the immediate region with these storms, Beshear offers some tips on using alternate means of heating your home.

Beshear added the Kentucky Emergency Management remains at Level 3 during these winter storms.

Governor Beshear and other state officials will be monitoring the latest weather information across the Commonwealth. The Kentucky National Guard is on standby to assist where help is needed, especially across the eastern portions of the state where ice is expected.
