Beshear Says Restrictions Could Be Adjusted if COVID Cases Continue Decline

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear said Tuesday that if the state continues trending toward a sixth straight week of declining COVID-19 cases, he could begin lifting restrictions placed on businesses and venues in the state to slow the spread of the coronavirus.
Kentucky reported 1,255 new cases of COVID -19 Tuesday, the fewest for a Tuesday since October 13. There were just 63 counties considered “red counties” on the state’s incidence rate map and the testing positivity rate remained at 6.5-percent. Beshear said those trends mean some restrictions could be lifted soon but didn’t get into specifics.
