Winter Storm Watch Issued For Wednesday And Thursday

The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a Winter Storm Watch that will take effect Noon Wednesday lasting through 6:00 Thursday evening.
Forecasters say moderate to locally heavy precipitation is possible, with snow accumulations of two to four inches possible, although there is still quite a bit of uncertainty regarding exact accumulation amounts. The highest totals will be more likely along the Kentucky/Tennessee border. Officials add to plan on slippery road conditions.
During a briefing with Warning Coordination Meteorologist Rick Shanklin, he was asked if this system could overproduce, since the last winter storm under-produced. He says that it’s possible.

Your Weather Edge is closely monitoring the winter storm and will provide updates when made available from the National Weather Service.
