Caldwell Medical Center in Princeton has been designated as a regional COVID-19 vaccination site.
Marketing Manager Casey Farley says the hospital will begin administering the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine on Thursdays, starting February 25th from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
According to Farley, this vaccination clinic is for Kentucky residents who can show proof of residency in the commonwealth and who are eligible under each phase of the state’s vaccine distribution plan. The hospital is currently seeing Phase 1A – Healthcare workers and Phase 1B – 70-years of age and older, first responders, and K-12 school personnel. As each phase of distribution is completed, Farley says they will then move into Phase 1C, which includes anyone over the age of 60 and anyone older than 16 with CDC highest risk for COVID-19 risk conditions.
Hospital officials are asking those in the Phase 1C group to call to get on the their waiting list. If you have already called and have been placed on the hospital’s waiting list, officials say you do not need to call again; they will contact you. Farley says when the vaccine is available and appropriate based on state guidelines, you will be contacted to schedule an appointment.

Farley says walk-in appointments will not be accepted. She also notes that appointments may change based on vaccine availability.
Officials at Caldwell Medical Center ask for patience as they move through administering vaccines to meet the demand. Hospital vaccine allocations are determined by state and federal guidance.
