Sixteen New COVID Cases Reported in Caldwell County


The Pennyrile District Health Department has announced 54 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed around its five-county district from last Saturday through Wednesday.
Officials with the health department reported sixteen of those cases are in Caldwell County. The new cases include eight females and eight males, ages 6 to 65. Officials reported a 65-year old female infected with the virus is in the hospital while all the other cases are recovering at home.
As of Wednesday, 1,109 COVID cases have been reported in Caldwell County.
According to the health department, eighteen new COVID-19 cases were reported in Livingston County, eleven in Lyon, six in Trigg, and three in Crittenden County.
Officials say their contact tracers and entire staff at the Pennyrile District Health Department have been in and out due to the inclement weather, and there are a couple of days that they did not have any cases worked.
