Number Of Kentucky Residents Hospitalized With COVID Down Sunday


Governor Andy Beshear said Sunday the state had experienced the sixth straight week of declining COVID-19 cases.
Beshear confirmed 979 new cases and 21 deaths linked to the virus, while the statewide testing positivity rate fell to 6.72-percent. Throughout the pandemic, 4,447 total deaths have been confirmed.
The number of residents hospitalized fell to 902 Sunday from 921, but the numbers of those in the ICU and on a ventilator rose three and 23 respectively from Saturday.
