Police Release Details of Fatal Murray Shooting

Murray Police say a man shot his girlfriend, a child, and then himself Tuesday morning near the Murray State University campus.
Police responded to a home on Chestnut Street around 7:36 a.m. for a report of the shooting.
When they arrived, officers found a child and two adults with gunshot wounds.
They add the child and 46-year-old Katherine Bryan, of Murray, were taken by ambulance to an area hospital where they were later airlifted to another hospital. Bryan later died from her injuries.
Police say 31-year-old Anthony Amoroso, of Murray, was pronounced dead on the scene by the Calloway County coroner.
Police report Amoroso shot his girlfriend and the child before shooting himself.
The college was placed on a short lockdown immediately after the incident but was deemed all-clear before 8:30 a.m.
