Two Evansville Men Charged After High-Speed Pursuit

A pursuit that started on Pennyrile Parkway in Hopkins County led to two Evansville men being arrested Friday morning.

Kentucky State Police say they attempted to stop 23-year-old Destin Svestka around the Christian and Hopkins County line on Pennyrile Parkway and he fled at a high rate of speed.
Svestka exited onto Kentucky 260 before getting onto Interstate 69.
Law enforcement used a tire deflation device to stop Svestka around the 79-mile marker of Interstate 69 in Caldwell County.
Svestka is charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police, two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, and several traffic offenses. Svestka’s passenger 25-year-old Isiah Fellows was charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place.
