Two Princeton residents were taken to the hospital after a golf cart overturned in Caldwell County Monday morning.
Chief Deputy Chris Noel says deputies with the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Wallace Fork Road for an overturned golf cart, with possible injuries shortly before 11:00.
He says an investigation by Deputy Chad Hawkins determined 51-year old Melinda Ezell was traveling just off Wallace Fork Road when she ran off the edge of the roadway and overcorrected, causing the golf cart to overturn onto its side on the road.
Deputy Hawkins reported Ezell and a passenger, 53-year old David Duncan, were transported by EMS to Caldwell County Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries.
Deputy Hawkins was assisted on scene by Chief Deputy Noel, Deputy Steve Ladd, Caldwell Fire/Rescue, and Caldwell EMS.
