The Pennyrile District Health Department announced 31 new coronavirus cases since Friday around its five-county district, including five cases in Caldwell County and two in Lyon County.
The latest positive cases in Caldwell County are isolated at home and include three males and two females, from 29 to 59 years old. A total of 1,196 COVID-19 cases has been confirmed in the county since the pandemic began over a year ago.
In Lyon County, the health department reported the two new cases are recovering at home and include a five-year old male and 35-year old female.
The health department also reported nine new cases in Trigg County, eight in Livingston, and seven in Crittenden County.
