Motorists traveling KY 293/North Providence Road in Caldwell County should anticipate brief delays beginning Thursday as a contractor with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet begins slide repairs.
District 2 spokeswoman Keirsten Jaggers with the state’s Transportation Cabinet says the repair will require the closure of the northbound lane of KY 293 at mile point 16.5. She adds traffic will be managed with temporary signals while the lane is closed. She indicates a maximum 10-foot lane width will also be in effect.
In addition to brief delays, Jaggers says motorists need to reduce speeds while traveling through the work zone.
The work at this location is scheduled to be completed in two weeks, weather permitting.
