Artwork of Caldwell County Native on Display at Princeton Art Guild

Teresa Dorroh

The artwork of a Caldwell County native is being showcased at the Princeton Art Guild through May.
Art Guild Director Melissa Peek says Teresa Dorroh, also known as Tooey, lives in a little town north of Nashville, Tennessee but was born and is originally from Princeton. She says Dorroh is a mother and grandmother. She attended the University of Kentucky and the American Management Association resulting in a thirty-year career in Sales and Business Development Management in the industrial propane and industrial gas markets.

According to Peek, Dorroh started painting during a life-changing moment and time in her life in 2018. She adds Dorroh didn’t know she had any ability to paint until she had time to be still. Peek says painting became a unique spiritual connection between Dorroh’s inner self and God where she found peace and strength to wait.
Since 2018, Peek says Dorroh has been featured in Lake & Golf magazine as a new artist in the Nashville area. Her hand-painted Angel Christmas ornaments and greeting cards are sold at the French Shoppe in downtown Nashville, in two locations. Dorroh prays her artwork will bless you, give you peace, enjoyment, and a little message to self, “be still”, while discovering your special gifts.

The public is invited to an artist reception to honor Dorroh and her artwork scheduled for Saturday afternoon, April 17, from 2:00 until 4:00 at the Princeton Art Guild located at 115 East Main Street in downtown Princeton.
Prints, canvas, facemask, mugs, throw pillows, handbags, and more featuring Art by Tooey are available by clicking here.
New art is posted on her Facebook page.
