Caldwell Fiscal Court Magistrates Approve 2021-2022 Budget


Caldwell County Fiscal Court magistrates approved the 2021-2022 budget on first reading during Tuesday morning’s meeting.
Prior to the start of the meeting, a budget hearing was held regarding the proposed use of the County Road Aid and LGEA Funds with no questions or comments from the public.
Judge-Executive Pro Tem Brent Stallins presented the first reading of the 2021-22 budget that totals more than $8.52 million dollars.


click to download audioThe first reading of the budget was unanimously approved by a 3-0 vote with Judge-Executive Larry Curling and magistrate Elbert Bennett absent from the meeting.

Magistrates also unanimously approved the County Road Aid Agreement for an estimated total of over $986,000 as presented by Stallins.

click to download audioWatson also said she had discussed the indexing/scanning system with the County Attorney, Roy Massey IV.


click to download audioShe explained this will allow the County Clerk’s Office to index and scan legal documents into their system, which she noted will be a big improvement.


click to download audioMagistrates also voiced their appreciation for the local emergency dispatchers as part of National Telecommunicator Appreciation Week.
