Officials Honor Caldwell Telecommunicator’s Service To The Community


Local officials are honoring and recognizing Caldwell County’s 911 Dispatchers for their service to the community during National Telecommunicator Appreciation Week.
Caldwell County Sheriff Stan Hudson, Chief Deputy Chris Noel and the entire staff at the Sheriff’s Office are expressing their gratitude for the county’s emergency telecommunicators.
Chief Deputy Noel, who also is the Pennyrile Emergency Assistance Center Director, tells the News Edge the Dispatch Center is a necessity in the county.


click to download audioAt the county’s Fiscal Court meeting Tuesday morning, magistrates and Princeton Fire Chief Brent Francis also thanked the dispatchers for doing a tremendous job serving the residents of Caldwell County.


click to download audioEmergency Director Noel says they are fully staffed with eight full-time telecommunicators and one-part time telecommunicator. He says the invaluable dispatchers for Caldwell County are Dewayne Trafford, Shirley Gray, Stacey Overby, Lisa Farias, Steve Newby, Jeff Diggs, Ty Englebright, Crissy Nichols, and Ashley Rahn.
Sheriff Hudson and Noel ask you to let these dispatchers know how much you appreciate the job they are doing if you see them out and about this week.
National Telecommunicator Appreciation Week, April 11-17, is a time set aside each year to recognize and celebrate the more than 200,000 individuals throughout the United States who play critical roles in the delivery of public safety services.
