Two Paving Projects Set to Begin in Crittenden County Monday

Motorists traveling in Crittenden County need to be aware of two additional paving projects that will start Monday.
District 1 spokesman Keith Todd with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says a contractor plans to start asphalt paving along sections of KY 654 and KY 855. He adds motorists should be alert for prep work and paving crews on KY 654 west of Marion between KY 1901 and Rooster Lane, and on KY 855 north of the Frances community between KY 70 and U.S. 60.
There will be one-lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by flaggers in these work zones. Motorists should use appropriate caution where equipment, flaggers and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
According to Todd, work at these locations is expected to take two weeks to complete, weather permitting.
He indicates ongoing paving projects in Crittenden County are along a section of KY 120 in the eastern portion of the county between Cave Springs Road and KY 132, and along KY 70 between KY 855 and KY 91. Todd says these projects should be completed in the next few days.
