WPKY’s Live Stream And Events Planned for Caldwell’s Prom

The Caldwell County Class of 2022 Junior Class is finalizing their silent auction this week and transitioning to Prom Preparations for this weekend’s highly anticipated event two years in the making.
For many students all over our area and across the nation, especially this year’s senior class, Prom Night is a right of passage they had hoped and prayed would survive the pandemic. After many hours of meetings, planning and compromises being made, Prom will once again give our Caldwell kids a taste of normalcy and celebration.
Caldwell County High School’s J.J. Griggs says it may look a little different and some aspects done virtually, but Prom will be held this Saturday for Caldwell County Students. She says in some ways, she believes it may be even better.

One of the additions this year has everyone excited, and the entire community is invited and encouraged to be a part of it. As Griggs explains, downtown Princeton and its businesses, organizations, parks and even Churches have got in on the excitement for “Princeton Promenade”.

With Prom being held outside this year under the big top, Grand March will not be held as usual for families of attendees. However, this year, even their out-of-town family and friends will be able to see them arrive in style as WPKY streams it all live, so no one misses the annual red carpet event. Junior Class Officer Madison Harrellson says it’s exciting.

Griggs says this group of Junior and Seniors has worked so hard and everyone is looking forward to getting back to normal and letting our kids enjoy the special moments together.
