Despite the inclement weather, the Caldwell County Chamber of Commerce Picnic in the Park event was a huge success last Thursday.
Chamber Board President Morgan Rousseau tells the News Edge they sold out of food and raised over $1,500, which will go to the Caldwell Chamber Senior Scholarship.

click to download audioThe Chamber was able to raise the funds by selling $5 sack lunches that included a grilled hot dog or hamburger, chips, drink, and dessert. The annual event was slated to be held at Olszewka Park on West Main Street but due to the rain and thunderstorms, it was moved to the back patio by the auditorium entrance at the Princeton Tourist Welcome Center.
