Caldwell Co. Begins County Road Paving Monday

Residents in Caldwell County can expect a smoother ride on several county roads as Phase 1 paving projects begin the next couple of weeks.
Magistrate Jeff Simms announced the Caldwell County Road Committee has the list.

Simms says paving will be limited to county roads only, and extend across Caldwell’s districts with completion expected by June, weather permitting.

Residents across Western Kentucky have voiced concerns over deteriorating road conditions in certain areas, which most say, seem worse this year than in years past going into Spring. Simms explained severe damage to some county roads can be directly traced back to a couple of factors, one simply being extreme cold.

Simms explained, officials are hopeful there will be two rounds of county road paving that will happen in Caldwell County this year.

Officials ask business partners and the area’s agricultural partners to be mindful of heavy equipment. Simms also reminded Caldwell residents to plan accordingly with trash removal and for patience during delays for the next few weeks, as paving moves across the county.
