Kentucky Adds More Than 700 New COVID-19 Cases

Governor Andy Beshear says Kentucky added 739 new cases of COVID-19 over the weekend, with the state positivity rate remaining at 3.28 percent.

Governor Beshear says 1,867,000 Kentuckians have received at least their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine. As of Sunday afternoon Christian County continues to have one of the worst vaccination rates in the state at 17 percent. Christian and Spencer counties are tied for the worst rate, with Ballard County at 19 percent, and McCreary and Lewis Counties at 20 percent.
Woodford County leads the state with the highest percentage of vaccinations at 55 percent, with Franklin County at 54 percent, Fayette County at 52, Scott County at 45, and Jefferson County at 44 percent.
