Madisonville’s 4th Fest And Praise In The Park To Return In July

The City of Madisonville has announced the return of the 4th Fest and Praise in the Park to Madisonville City Park in July after it was canceled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
City officials say the three-day event, July 2-4, is free to attend and will feature two stages of entertainment, food trucks, a beer garden Friday and Saturday only, a fireworks display each night, and additional activities.
According to officials, the event will include headline concerts on the main stage to include Bret Michaels, En Vogue, and Zach Williams. In addition, the 101st Airborne Rock Band will be performing on the main stage, along with Laine Hardy, Dillon James, and Jordan Smith. Gates open to the main stage seating area each day at 3:00 p.m.
Madisonville Mayor Kevin Cotton said they are very excited to offer the 4th Fest and Praise in the Park series after a really tough last year. The mayor said it’s refreshing to be able to gather and come together as a community.
Mayor Cotton went on to say a really exciting part of this year’s events is the incredible number of local talent that will be featured.
On July 3rd and 4th, city officials say a second stage will feature acts and artists with deep local roots. Saturday’s lineup features Alonzo Pennington & the Xtraordinary Gentlemen, the Stillwell-France Blues Band, Rufus & Julia, and The Cameron Tabor Band. Sunday’s lineup features Don Ready Band, Dustin Scarbrough, Word of Faith Praise Team & Friends, and LifePoint Band. The park opens to the second stage area at noon on Saturday, July 3, and 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 4.
Mayor Cotton said they are working very hard to put measures in place to allow these events to occur in a safe environment. He also said they are thankful for the community’s support.
