The Caldwell County Grand Jury has returned six felony indictments including child pornography, burglary, and strangulation.
46-year old William Franklin Guill, of Princeton, was indicted for promoting a sexual performance by a minor under 16, two counts of prohibited use of an electronic communication system to procure a minor involving a sex offense, and distribution of one unit of obscene matter.
Guill was arrested by Kentucky State Police on March 2 after an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. Detectives said the investigation began after they discovered Guill engaging in sexually explicit communication with a child online. As a result of the investigation, detectives went to a residence in Paducah on March 2 and seized equipment reportedly used to facilitate the crime, which was taken to KSP’s forensic laboratory for examination.
The grand jury indicted 46-year old Cole Duncan, of Princeton, on two counts of third-degree burglary, and first-degree persistent felony offender. According to the indictment, Duncan unlawfully entered two outbuildings on or between January 14, 2021 and January 15, 2021, with the intent to commit a crime.
36-year old Steven J. Downs, of Princeton, was indicted for fourth-degree assault, first-degree strangulation, and resisting arrest. The charges stem from February when Downs was arrested by Princeton Police at a residence on Rose Avenue after he allegedly grabbed a female by the neck and choked her during an altercation.
The grand jury also indicted 24-year old Kyle A. Lafoon, of Princeton, for possessing marijuana, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia offenses.
27-year old Austin Robert Powell, of Princeton, was indicted for DUI 1st offense, possession of marijuana, meth, and drug paraphernalia.
And the grand jury indicted 43-year old Darnetta V. Foster, whose address is unknown, on a first-degree promoting contraband offense.
