Fiscal Court Recognizes Caldwell EMS For Their Service

Caldwell County officials recognized emergency medical technicians Tuesday for National EMS Week, May 16-22.
At the Caldwell County Fiscal Court meeting, Judge-Executive Larry Curling signed a proclamation and presented it to Caldwell County EMS Director Mark Harrison.

In new business, magistrates unanimously approved a sheriff’s vehicle as surplus property that will be given to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Department. Sheriff Stan Hudson said the vehicle previously used for the department’s K-9 unit has seen its better days.

click to download audioIn other business, magistrates also approved the renewal of the county’s ambulance insurance for 2021-2022 with VFIS for $28,064, which Judge Curling said was down a little bit from the previous year’s amount of $29,156.
Magistrates also congratulated the Caldwell County High School Class of 2021 graduates.
The next Caldwell County Fiscal Court meeting will be Tuesday morning, May 25, at 9:00. Anyone interested in addressing Fiscal Court at that meeting should contact Judge Curling’s office no later than Friday, May 21 at noon.
