A woman was arrested after police responded to a shots fired call outside a department store at the Madisonville mall Sunday afternoon.
Madisonville police responded to the call at the Burkes Outlet in the Parkway Plaza Mall at 401 Madison Square Drive at 1:45 p.m.
According to police, an investigation revealed 37-year old Candis Doss, of Madisonville, produced a gun during a verbal altercation inside the store and started waving it around. As she was exiting the store, police say she fired one round in an unknown direction.
Doss was taken into custody and charged with first-degree wanton endangerment. She was lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center.
Police say there were no reports of injuries or property damage.
