A Kuttawa man was charged with burglary after an investigation on items taken from a garage on Chestnut Oak Road in Lyon County Tuesday morning.
Lyon County Sheriff’s deputies say they were called to the area for a burglary with numerous items stolen out of a detached garage including two Craftsman cabinets.
As deputies were investigating the burglary 65-year-old John Balthus was reportedly located in his garage with the stolen cabinets.
Deputies say other items taken in the burglary were also found on his property along with tools used during the break-in.
He is charged with third-degree burglary, second-degree criminal mischief, theft by unlawful taking, and possession of burglary tools.
