Caldwell County’s Senior Citizen Center Celebrates Reopening


After being closed for over a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the senior center in Caldwell County held a ribbon-cutting Thursday morning to celebrate the reopening of the facility.
Director Kelly Coleman with the Frank P. Giannini, M.D. Senior Citizen Center in Princeton tells the News Edge they are thrilled to be reopening.


click to download audioShe says they serve around 100 seniors on a daily basis and offer several services.

According to Coleman, the senior citizens center is open weekdays and serves lunch.


click to download audioIn addition, she says they are going to soon restart the Bible studies on Tuesdays and try to get back to a normal routine as soon as possible.

Princeton Mayor Kota Young and city councilwoman Pat George also attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony with the mayor stating it was an exciting day for the senior citizens of Caldwell County.
