Caldwell School Board Approves Hiring Interventionists

The Caldwell County school board approved hiring interventionists for each school and approved an agreement with the City of Princeton for two school resource officers.
At Monday night’s meeting, Superintendent Jeremy Roach said one interventionist has been requested at each school to address an increasing number of students who are below grade level in reading and math at elementary levels and middle school levels, as well as students who didn’t earn reading and math credits at the high school level. He said the positions would be funded by ESSR money and would be approved by the board annually as the need is determined.
