Caldwell 4-H’ers Bring Home Hardware from Kentucky Junior Livestock Expo

The Caldwell County 4-H Club was well-represented last weekend at the Kentucky Junior Livestock Expo in Bowling Green.
4-H Extension Agent Rhonda Jewell said Daniel Laurent and Evan Cotton brought home grand champion and reserve grand champion awards.

click to download audioIn addition to the junior livestock expo, the Caldwell 4-H Club hosted its annual exhibit day last week with the champions to advance to the Kentucky State Fair next month.


click to download audioThe Kentucky State Fair is scheduled for August 19-29 in Louisville.
Prior to that, schools will begin classes in Caldwell County on August 11, and Jewell says the start of after-school 4-H clubs won’t be far behind.


click to download audioJewell added the club will be also busy in the coming months with the Kids Day at the farmer’s market, the country ham contest, and the state shooting sports competition.
