Caldwell County Reports 33 New Positive COVID Cases Since Friday

The Pennyrile District Health Department announced 33 new positive coronavirus cases were confirmed in Caldwell County over a four-day period.
The latest cases tested positive from Friday through Monday and include 19 males and 14 females ranging in age from 2 to 74-years old. All of the cases are recovering at home and 12 of the new cases are under 18-years old.
Elsewhere around the health department’s five-county district, 35 new positive cases were confirmed in Livingston County during this same time period, along with 33 cases in Trigg County including one hospitalization, 29 cases in Crittenden County and 15 new cases in Lyon County.
Statewide, Governor Andy Beshear announced a record 2,198 Kentuckians were hospitalized with COVID-19 as of Monday afternoon and 56 new deaths have been linked to the virus in just three days. He said there was a record number of new COVID cases last week: 29,459.
On Monday, Governor Beshear said 2,619 new cases of the virus were confirmed with the state’s positivity rate at 13.45%.
