Man Charged After Interstate 24 Stand-off

A Nebo man was charged after a stand-off with law enforcement on Interstate 24 in Eddyville Wednesday night.
Kentucky State Police Post 1 spokesman Adam Jones says they were called to the area for 26-year-old Dean Adornato who was walking down the roadway around mile marker 51 with something in his hand.
When law enforcement arrived, he says they discovered Adornato carrying a handgun that he fired into the air and ground multiple times while speaking with police.
According to Adams, after over an hour of talking with law enforcement, Adornato was taken into custody and his vehicle was discovered on a side near the interstate.
Adornato was lodged in the Christian County Jail charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.
No one was injured in the shooting and no law enforcement discharged any weapons.
All lanes of I-24 were blocked near the Lyon-Caldwell County line for approximately two hours during the stand-off.
