Caldwell County Sheriff’s Deputy Noel Receives Medal Of Valor Award

A longtime deputy with the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department has received a prestigious award at the annual Kentucky Sheriff’s Association Awards Ceremony last week.
According to officials with the sheriff’s office, Chief Deputy Chris Noel was the recipient of the Kentucky Sheriff’s Association Medal of Valor Award. The award was the result of Chief Deputy Noel’s actions during a domestic assault call in Caldwell County where a knife was produced by a male subject. Chief Deputy Noel reportedly disarmed the subject, preventing a tragedy from occurring without regard for his own safety.
As previously reported by the News Edge, Chief Deputy Noel celebrated his 20th Anniversary with the local sheriff’s office in April. He has twenty-five years of law enforcement experience and began his career in 1996 under Sheriff Jerry Adams as a special deputy. Noel then realized a calling in law enforcement and was given the opportunity to attend the Academy in Richmond to be certified. He graduated from the Academy in 1997 and went on to serve with the Eddyville Police Department, and then with the Princeton Police Department. On April 1, 2001, Noel started his career at the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department where he serves in many capacities.
The Kentucky Sheriff’s Association Awards Ceremony was held in Bowling Green on Thursday, September 16.
