
The Pennyrile District Health Department announced 167 new positive coronavirus cases have been confirmed around its five-county district the last five days.
Of those cases, 54 new cases were reported in Caldwell County and include 26 males and 28 females ranging in age from 4 to 89 with 20 of the cases 18 and under. One of the cases — a 76-year old male — is hospitalized.
Caldwell County Judge-Executive Larry Curling provided a COVID-19 vaccination update at Tuesday morning’s fiscal court meeting and said about 50 percent of the county’s population have received a jab.
click to download audioElsewhere around the district, 44 new COVID-19 cases were reported in Trigg County, along with 30 cases in Livingston County, 23 cases in Crittenden County, and 16 new cases in Lyon County.
