Mayor Announces Date Of Princeton Halloween Scavenger Hunt

Princeton’s mayor has announced there will be a city-wide trick-or-treat scavenger hunt again this year.

Mayor Young made the announcement at the city council meeting Monday night that they have been working to get ready for the 2nd annual Halloween Scavenger Hunt that will take place on Saturday, October 30th.

Although Halloween falls on Sunday, October 31 on the calendar, Mayor Young is encouraging the community to celebrate Halloween on that Saturday.


click to download audioMayor Young says if you would like to be a location for candy and a clue for the scavenger hunt, you can contact him either by email at kotayoung@gmail.com, or by calling or by text to 270-625-4827. You will need to let him know your business’ name and an email address and phone number that he can contact you. He notes that you can either set up at your business, or they can give you a spot downtown.
According to the mayor, your business will be listed on a map that will be made available the week prior to the event. He says the children will be able to come by during the event to pick up candy and a clue that will be in the form of a riddle. He notes the answers to the riddles will be used to spell out the secret to this year’s story.
Again, the scavenger hunt will be held Saturday, October 30th from 3-6 p.m.
