Caldwell County Grand Jury Returns Felony Indictments

The Caldwell County Grand Jury has returned several felony indictments on charges ranging from burglary and theft to drug trafficking.
The grand jury returned two true bills for 29-year old Timothy J. Daniel, of Princeton, on charges of four counts of third-degree burglary, two counts of first-degree criminal mischief, and attempted theft by unlawful taking $10,000 or more.
The charges stem from August when Princeton Police investigated a damaged ATM at First Southern Bank in Princeton. Police said Daniel used a crowbar and attempted to break into the bank’s ATM. Police also said when interviewing Daniel he admitted to using the same crowbar to enter four storage units on West Washington Street the day before he was arrested.
Daniel remains lodged in the Caldwell County Jail on a $10,000 cash bond.
19-year old Preston L. Nichols, of Princeton, was indicted on charges of third-degree criminal trespassing, theft by unlawful taking under $500, third-degree assault of a police officer or probation officer, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Nichols was arrested in August by the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office after deputies responded to call about a suspicious vehicle on Otis Sheridan Road near Farmersville.
Nichols remained lodged in the Caldwell County Jail on a $10,000 cash bond.
The grand jury indicted 21-year old Kyam Jacob Wethington, of Princeton, for no/expired registration plates, DUI – 1st offense, first-degree possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and third-degree possession of a controlled substance – Klonopin.
The charges stem from May when Princeton Police reported they stopped Wethington for an expired registration plate and found he was under the influence of intoxicants. Police said he was also in possession of meth and marijuana.
Wethington is lodged in the Graves County Jail as a state inmate under a $5,000 cash bond.
25-year old Kaylob J. Meeks, of Hopkinsville, was indicted on charges of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance over 2 grams of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, operating on a suspended/revoked operator’s license, possession of an open alcohol beverage container in a motor vehicle, failure of non-owner to maintain required insurance.
According to Princeton Police, Meeks was arrested after officers were called to Farmers Bank on West Washington Street for a forged check. Officers then conducted a traffic stop and found Meeks driving with a suspended license and an open container of bourbon in plain view. Police said they also found meth, marijuana, digital scales and other drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.
Meeks remains lodged in the Caldwell County Jail under a $7,500 cash bond.
52-year old Demetrius Lorenzo Hollowell, of Princeton, on two counts first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance over 2 grams of methamphetamine, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance under 2 grams of meth, second-degree possession of a controlled substance – Gabapentin, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and first-degree persistent felony offender.
Hollowell was arrested in July after Princeton Police conducted an investigation at a home on Varmintrace Road and found 11 grams of meth, five Buprenorphine, $132 in cash, marijuana, 22 bottles of Gabapentin, and drug paraphernalia.
Hollowell is lodged in the Caldwell County Jail on a $15,000 cash bond.
The grand jury also indicted 47-year old Donald R. Adams and 37-year old Shannon Burton, both of Princeton, on first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance over 2 grams of meth – 1st Offense by Complicity.
And a true bill was returned on Donald R. Adams and 36-year old Kyron Cain of Princeton on a charge of first-degree trafficking in controlled substance over 2 grams of meth – 1st offense by Complicity. Cain was also indicted on a first-degree persistent felony offender charge.
As previously reported by the News Edge, 21-year old Cortney Davis of Princeton and 31-year old Joshua Sights of Henderson were among the indictments returned by the Caldwell County Grand Jury.
